Located in Stockton, CA, once home to the greatest number of Filipinos outside of the Philippines, the FANHS Museum promotes narratives and cultural awareness of the Filipino American experience.
Founded in 1982, the Seattle-based FANHS consists of 38 US chapters that document and preserve Filipino culture with its collection of National Pinoy Archives materials, oral histories, and exhibits. In 1988, the Historical Society designated October as "Filipino American History Month".
