Lexis provides these materials as part of its contract with the State of California as publisher of the Official Reports. California Supreme Court decisions from 1850 to the present, California Court of Appeal decisions from 1905 to the present. Users can search for decisions by name or citation or by creating natural language or terms and connectors-type searches. Case decisions include the official headnotes only. No Lexis editorial enhancements are provided, such as headnotes, digests, Shephard's, or hypertext links to other cases or statutes.

A nonsearchable collection of opinions issued prior to editing for inclusion in the Offical Reports. Unpublished decisions are generally "non-citable" according to California Rules of Court, rule 8.1115.

Select "Case Law" before you search. You can further limit by jurisdiction and level of court. Google Scholar has cases from the California Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

The California Office of Administrative Law contracts with Barclays, a division of Thomson-Reuters to provide a free online version of the Official CCR. Users can search by keywords (including full Westlaw terms and connectors type searches) or by a specific regulatory section. Title 24, the Building Standards Code is not included, see link in this guide for more information.

Also known as the "Z Register," it is a chronological publication of notices of proposed regulatory actions by California state agencies to adopt, amend, or repeal regulations in the CCR. Coverage is 2018 to the present.
